Dot5Hosting was acquired by Endurance International Group (EIG).
EIG had acquired over 20 brands of hosting companies including the big names such as iPage, FatCow, iPower, iPowerWeb, StartLogic, and PowWeb.
After these companies were taken over, a big disaster happened where well run hosting companies were being destroyed!
The problem is that once EIG took over these companies, the original founders left (with lots of money of course). They were no longer ‘family-owned’ and ‘family-operated’. The soul of the company was lost. They brought in new management and new policies. They also migrated the servers of existing customers and created a lot of transition problems.
In the end, all these companies are simply merged and managed under the umbrella of iPage. They are now simply iPage with different names.
And since iPage has gone downhill itself, I can no longer recommend all these related companies.
